Lancaster University is a safe and green environment. The campus facilities and the library are fantastic. The library especially has access to a wide range of resources which support research. The study spaces are great and there's a real sense of community. There's always something going on, and plenty of events and research networks that can amplify your studies. Access to supervision is amazing, with world class lecturers and research. In terms of improvement, there's been a lot of change to organisational structures over the last couple of years so greater consistency would have helped. However, communication has always been good, and this seems to be playing itself out across the sector, not being unique to Lancaster.

The supervision is outstanding, I couldn't fault anything. Lecturers are research-active, and support you with everything from draft reviews, to applying for conferences and research funding. Without this excellent and consistent support, I'm not sure I would have been able to complete the PhD! I don't have any complaints.
