For me the extra curricular evens are what really stands out, I like that we can get involved with societies that help build connections to our chosen industry. When it came to deciding which uni to pick the large numbers of mature students, variety of facilities and central London location were what helped me chose London Met over other unis. If I have to suggest any other improvements it would be more open inductions that ANY student can sign up to for the different work spaces across campus and more lunch of after uni classes to help expand our creative subjects. For example life drawing oil painting, digital drawing, etc...

At the moment I don't have enough experience to comment on the work placements but I do greatly appreciate the Vis Com talks that are being set up to help us learn from those in industry. It is however a little unfortunate that a lot of the speakers talk more about the struggles than the successes, it would be great to see more successful artists who have enjoyed their journey into the industry.

I love studying at LMU Aldgate campus. It’s a creative hub in the middle of the city, with dedicated teachers and tutors along with a friendly staff that is always willing to help. The library is huge, and I love all the workshops available on campus. They have an amazing letterpress studio, and a huge diversity in different studios across campus. They have talented, creative, educated practisioners as teachers which makes learning more fun. I’m so glad I got the oppurtunity to study at London Met. The course is really good, we are taught everything we need to know in the field of illustration and animation, and I feel like my money is well invested by attending this course.

I’m taking a full-time course, and all days we attend class I really enjoy. We have half of the week to focus on independent study, and the only thing I would want more of is more scheduled working hours at uni. I know this can be achieved by study groups, but I do find it helpful having a teacher available as well.

I feel like the auditaurium is not the best place to sit and work – but I don’t think its inteded for that to be fair. Working in the library or the group rooms work great.
