The Llandaff campus is surrounded by many shops, with accommodation not far away. There are plenty of facilities for art students like myself and all the staff are so friendly. My personal experience at Cardiff Met has been overall positive so far. All my teachers actually care about the wellbeing of all their students, all the technicians are also on hand to help at any point. There is not much to improve, other than the organisation of accomodation I’d say, I was waiting longer than I should have to get the necessary information.

My course is brilliant. My teachers only want the best for us and are willing to guide us to get to where we want to be. My course content is very interesting, we do practical work two days a week and research focused work one day a week. I enjoy learning about illustration alongside doing illustration. All the information we learn will further our discipline and creativity.

It’s in a wonderful location with Llandaff Cathedral down the road, shops nearby, it’s not far from campus. However, the block I’m in has more maintenance issues than it should and the Wi-Fi is poor. Saying that, the maintenance team are swift at fixing any issues and are very approachable. I personally love living at Plas Gwyn, my flat has no issues but I have heard some horror stories from other friends.

It has the facilities to support every student to eat, socialize and learn in order to achieve their goals.
