The locations and setting of a campus uni is amazing. This is improved further due to the college system - this creates a smaller community within the university and makes making friends, taking part in sports and societies and living away from home easier. The buildings on campus often look dated and have older facilities, especially on west campus

PPE at york is very separated, you only really get to study a few PPE interdisciplinary modules which surprised me. This does enable a more rounded and diverse study but can increase the difficulty as you do not get to go as in depth as single honours degrees and therefore often miss out on further knowledge that can improve study in certain modules. The PPE staff are all very helpful and enagaging in lessons and in office hours / PPE specific times.

Although very expensive the facilities are very nice and homely. The rooms are large and comfortable especially to be able to make them your own. The maintenance is fast with 24 hr recepetion and responses.

I love the greenery surrounding the campus and I enjoy that it’s split into 2 areas.

The course is certainly interesting but also is equally challenging. I love the labs though!

It’s rather expensive and the kitchen is slightly crusty (but I was fully expecting that). My room is nice and cosy and I like where the college is located on campus.
