The university location is great and super close to town! It's easy to make this place feel like home. I wish there had been more opportunities to join societies later on in the year.

The seminar tutors are fab, they make you feel really comfortable with student led discussions and actively encourage you to think outside the box. There's a good mix of independent reading as well as contact hours to discuss what you've read.

Maintenance are quick to act on any issues in the room but less so on problems in the kitchen. However, the rooms are spacious with plenty of storage. Large mixed flats are great for making friends- you are almost guaranteed to gel with someone!

I love York, there is lots of support here and the students union is great at hosting events and club nights. The city is filled with lots of different things to explore and the facilities are lovely.

The gym facilities could be improved at the Heslington West campus.

The accommodation services were very useful in my first year and there is lots of financial support e.g. bursaries and grants.

YUSU are very good, they provide club nights and events which are very organised.

There are lots of restaurants, shops, clubs and bars.

I am not part of any socieities.

Tutors and academics are very helpful with queries; revision sessions are put on which is useful.

The year in industry will be very helpful as it'll provide lots of experience which is required by employers.

I live off campus in a house which is reasonably priced and only 20 minutes from the university.
