Generally had good facilities and a good and easy to access support network for students. All staff were very helpful and there was a general feeling of pride around campus both among staff and students. Liverpool is a fantastic city and Liverpool University is a brilliant place to study while experiencing such a lovely city.

Sydney Jones Library was a comfortable place to work, with plenty of computers. Sometimes computer clusters got slightly noisy/busy - though there was also a lot of space for using laptops too. The availability of books wasn't brilliant, though the short loan was very useful. The gym was very well equipped and reasonably priced.

The support I received from the university when I needed it was absolutely excellent - I cannot fault the help I was given.

Wide range of fair-trade foods and drinks available at LGoS, though as they were fair-trade it did seem to be slightly more expensive in some areas than other students unions I have visited. Excellent range of events organised through the Guild and always a friendly environment in which to meet friends or study.

Liverpool is a hugely friendly city - local residents were always happy to help if you were lost or needed anything. There was always something to do on free days/evenings. Liverpool is also very reasonably priced for the quality of activities available. It has the buzz of a large city while retaining the friendliness of a smaller city.

A wide range of clubs and societies were available to join, most of which were very reasonably priced per month. Members of any societies I had experience with were welcoming to new members and inclusive across the board.

Course choice on History (V100) was excellent - though there could have been slightly more choice of world history (I seem to remember there was a large emphasis on America and Britain). Lecturers were all excellent and supportive throughout the course.

I ended up studying postgraduate courses at another institution, I didn't find employment from my undergraduate course alone.

Carnatic accommodation was very, very dated - had all of the charm of a prison. It was expensive and the catering left a lot to be desired. The site had a shop, bar and postboxes, laundry etc. along with a bus stop which was useful. However, given the number of students the facilities could have been better. Staff working in the bar, catering staff and security staff in halls were all very friendly. Our hall warden was pretty much entirely absent - I do not remember seeing her at all.
