The facilities are amazing, but I think the sports centre needs some more work on it. The gym is very small and has got a lot of older equipment so it would be good for further investment in this area. Other than that the campus is beautiful and definitely the best in the country. Living and studying here has been the best 3 years of my life and I've experienced a really enjoyable and productive student life meeting plenty of great people. It helps that Geography is a highly-regarded course here having a school that is rated highly from multiple assessing boards. The societies and clubs here are great and there is such a warm student community here. Despite the campus being far away from all the shops and everything you would find in the town centre, the campus does provide things that other universities do not have. For example, the walks you can have around campus are great and the views are amazing, being on top of the hills overlooking Stoke. It is definitely a university that I would recommend to a friend.

The university are great at helping students find careers and placements during and after university. In my final year there were so many module placements on offer for all students. It really does help considering that in my second year I had to source a placement myself and I really struggled to secure one when all the other students across the country would be applying to the same one, so I'm very thankful that I could do a placement in the end from the universities' placements and projects team. The content for all my modules are very diverse and interesting. Some modules and topics I've learned have been quite niche, but it is really good to gain perspectives from different places rather than everyone learning the same things. The facilities are great, from the labs to the lecture rooms. Although being a geography student means a lot of my lectures and seminars have been in the old William Smith building which can be uncomfortable but I think most lecture theatres get uncomfortable after sitting in them for a while. The fieldwork was really fun, especially when I went to the Lake District and had the opportunity to carry out my independent research project. Throughout my studies I have been privileged to have a lot of support offered to me from academic mentors to the placements and projects team, and even though I have not used a lot of the services, I have heard that they have been really helpful to friends of mine.

The unfortunate thing with university halls of residence is that they are generally going up in price every year. It is even more to live in Horwood than when I was there, and Horwood is the cheapest on campus. So I do worry for future student who might even struggle with the cost of living even in the cheaper halls of residence. Despite this, this matter is a national problem, not just at Keele. But this is affecting many students not just financially but also mentally as many students do tend to worry with their budgets and finances a lot. Other than that, I was safe and enjoyed my time there with a good maintenance service, who were quick to reply and act on any queries.

Best: Friendliness of everyone, you can talk to anyone. Worst: Accessing support can be difficult and tricky to know where to go.

Best: Content can be interesting. Worst: Staff cuts.

Best: Nice location for those wanting a quieter feel. Worst: Further away from main uni life. Plus shared laundromat with Oaks.
