It is a nice small city, with a small but full campus. that is what attracted to me, the thought of everything being so accessible and close. It has certainly lived up to those expectations, now I think that the campus is perhaps too small and confined. However, that was the initial attraction. Everything is so easily accessible on foot and campus accommodation is great, there is also a large amount of places to live within a reasonable walking distance from campus. The student support is great, I used them a lot in my 2nd and 3rd years and they helped me out when I needed it.
I think the union has gone downhill a lot since I started uni but Covid took a toll on a lot of places so hopefully it will bounce back soon.

Course rating
The course itself and the lecturers are great, generally taught well and have enjoyed most of my classes. The lack of resources and opportunities surrounding the course is not the school itself fault but a lack of funding from the university.
The cours is doing the best it can since cuts which have resulted in far less module options.

The city is small but very much a student a city and it accommodates well with places to eat offering student deals and everything being relatively cheap.
There is somewhat of a lack of things to do, no cinema/bowling/ mini golf type activities in walking distance. But a short bus journey away!
The buses are easy to navigate and reliable.

What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?
It was the best place I've lived in my four years.
Felt safe at all times, it was warm, comfortable and secure.
The rooms were all equal so nothing unfair, the en-suite bathrooms were a luxury that was greatly appreciated and the kitchen/living space was more than big enough.

Facilities
How good are your university's facilities?
The facilities are very good. The gym is great but make sure that you will go regularly before you commit otherwise its a waste of 60-180 quid. Library is excellent and it has a shop on campus at reasonable prices.
Student support
How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).
Great student support. And very quick process of matriculation.
Students' union
What do you think of your Students' Union in terms of student representation and facilities?
The bouncers are arrogant, unfair and judgemental. Other than that its a brilliant experience particularly in freshers week. Make sure you have ID though or it wont be fun. I also recommend a freshers band, you get better treatment.
Local life
Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?
The underground a great. High entrt fee though...for a student.
Societies and Sports
How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?
Having only joined the basketball club I can only comment on that. Its great. Costs 55 quid for the year but if you dont have a sports gym membership it will cost you 3 quid per session.
Lecturers and teaching quality
What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?
Lecturer clearly have a passion for the subject and this is evident throughout. Dr Storrs always makes lectures and tutorials interesting.
Career prospects
How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?
Above 80% of graduates go into employment after the first 6 months of graduating.

I live in belmont flats. The rent is far too high in my opinion. Its 610 pounds a month for a smallish room with an ensuite. Average facilitiea really. Bring some things to decorate it or it will feel like a prison. You get a single bed (its ok) a large desk (good) and large wardrobe. The wifi is horrific and cuts out frequently in the rooms furthest away. 1 and 4. You get ethernet though and thats fine.
