Located in the leafy suburbs. Large campus with many new facilities. In more recent years studing as a PhD student has improved. There is now more support from departments, students have to have regular meetings with their supervisors and these meetings are tracked by the University which means they are able to flag up any students who might be struggling. Lots of resources and training oppertunities available. Particularly like the PhD students and staff study area in the library, especially the silent study space. The library also run days called "Shut up and Work" where they provide a space and structured time for students to study. Tea/ coffee and biscuits are provided and students can network in break times. These sessions are really motivate and focus you. The staff whoh run the sessions are a great bunch. Theses sessions also run online and facilites are available so that studenst can run their own online group study sessions.

I'm not on a taught course so cannot really answer this question. However, supervision is good and the University have really improved this aspect of my study. Studying for a PhD via research can be quite lonely for part-time students. Although, efforts are made to include us in departmental events, part-time student networking events etc., it is often difficult for students to get the time out to attend but my School has really worked hard to try to improve this.
