The city is a great place to study with lots to do and see. The downside to this is that there are so many people and things to do that you rarely see most people and can't do everything. The University of Leeds could be improved by having one place to make all events known about because there are too many emails about events that aren't on the union's event page.

Assignment feedback is often late. Lecturer's are very good and contact hours are ideal in my opinion. The course is only taught in class but recordings are available online and so is all of the module content.

The location of the halls is great and the wifi is very stable however, the room was really dirty when I arrived (black mould in the freezer and a patch of something on the carpet were the first signs of a problem). The catered food is good when they have a range for different dietary requirements but they often don't so be prepared to wait for them to make you something from scratch if your dietary requirement isn't catered for by the general menu.

The staff are constantly sharing tips via email regarding wellbeing and settling in which is really helpful as a first year, especially in a new city away from home. I like that the services provided by the university are also easily accessible. However, I feel like an increase in guides/university tours would be very helpful for first years at least.

I feel like the course hours are doable but sometimes the workload can be a lot, which is an immense transition from studying at A-Level to doing undergraduate studies. However, for my course in particular, it is nice that a lot of the content I learnt with at Psychology A-Level ties into undergraduate A-Level. So I would say an area of improvement would be to introduce more measures to help first years with the transition/workload of university.
