The worst aspects of my uni experience was spending the majority of my course studying and doing lectures online, feeling like I was missing out on the true experience and meeting new people. However, the staff tried their hardest to make up for it within 3rd year by ensuring majority of content was covered in person, including lectures, seminars and workshops, and they have provided adequate support and resources.

Lecturers are readily available to answer queries and questions through email and discussion boards which is extremely beneficial. It was fair that due to majority of content being taught online that exams were also online, as majority of students have become unfamiliar with the concept of in person exams due to many of them having not sat one since A-levels or even GCSE, like me. The lecture content has been enjoyable and picking my own modules has allowed me to delve deeper into specific topics that I am interested in.

The value for money was ideal, not too expensive and had all the amenities that first year students would need, such as laundry rooms, a common room, gym, bike storage etc. The distance to uni was not too bad, only a 15 minute walk, however the closest store was an overpriced Londis, which was not ideal and did not fit in many students' budgets, even for picking up a few last minute things for dinner etc. The rooms and accommodation itself was satisfactory, and was where I spent the majority of my time due to restrictions and lockdown.

Really friendly city, easy to navigate. Good facilities on campus, great union and excellent sports facilities/societies. Course is great, teaching hospitals are very good.
