My overall university experience has been exciting and full of events so far. I have met lots of new friends and people who are making the experience great. The university supply us with many events and groups to help us make the most of our time at university

How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?

Provide a wide range of oppertunities to volunteer and gain a greater experience in the field of work you are interested in. They offer trips and courses in relation to your aspirations. They offer student support through specialists for example carers coach.

What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?

I like all the practical sessions involved. I dislike long lectures as i lose concentration after a while .

students union is very helpful and supportive regarding your life at university and the experiences you would like to gain.

Their is a wide range of clubs and societies that offer an amazing experience to find a hobby along side your course.

The support offered by the university is outstanding. They offer support for almost anything you could possibly think of.

I’m only in my first year so I’ve only been here a few months, however I really enjoy the lectures (especially the handling sessions)....

Tell us about your overall university experience so far.

I’m only in my first year so I’ve only been here a few months, however I really enjoy the lectures (especially the handling sessions). Staff and students get along well and teaching us of high standards. I also got offered the position of a student ambassador which helps me tell everyone else how good it is here

How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?

We have certain talks on career choices as early as year 1, with different opportunities to volunteer and even have placement years

What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?

I like the fact that a lot of it is self taught as well as the tutors always being there to help us through things. Some lectures can be longer than 2 hours which can be a struggle but the lecturers like to keep us engaged with coffee breaks and sometimes chocolate

I don’t get involved but that is because I’m not the outgoing type, however if I was to get involved I feel I would enjoy myself

What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?

Lovely university accommodation, I live in the smallest of the accommodation we have to offer, however it is still spacious and I even requested a quiet block in which I received

Uni Facilities

How good are your university's facilities?

Extremely good, we have a farm for agriculture students, 2 sports building with equipment for sports students, equine centre with outdoor and indoor arenas and stables for equine students and a whole animal area for animal students, along with a range of different species

Local life

Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?

The city is only 10min drive away from Hartpury and is great. Full of people in the day and night and a really nice area

Societies and Sports

How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?

Societies are good as we have a range of different ones, from LGBT to vet society and all in between. Clubs are really good in Gloucester and we have arrangements with a taxi service for good deals

How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).

Both really good, u can have tutorials with tutors whenever and u can book sessions with the counseller or pop into her office whenever
