The university really involves students in events and all opportunities that may come up. It’s also really quite unique as different departments also tend to work together in creating things like final year shows, as well as events. Some of these being the drama/ theatre department working with the psychology department to run an immersive experience for others about solving crimes. The professors are also very approachable and are keen to see you achieve and are always open to lending you a hand.

I have 9 on campus hours 6 of which consist of lectures, 2 labs and 1 being a group meeting with my tutor. This is all in person. The lectures are also very interactive and we also receive a piece to do nearly every week, to stay on top of writing skills and knowledge. A down side of this however is that we sometimes wait 2-3 weeks for feedback, which means we are unable to really see where we are going wrong straight away. However, the feedback is extremely in debt and turnitin is also used so you are able to see the percentage of player Idm straight away. You can also see where the specific comments and issues are with the paper once marking is complete.

London is a great location to both live and work in. However, the cost of living is extremely high and it sometimes feels like you won’t be able to get by after paying rent but the opportunities that are offered when you live in such a city are so great that you want to stay anyway.

The halls are slightly pricey but they are worth the money as you have your own space and showers. The community feel is also great as all buildings look into a courtyard. The accommodation also has a conservatory and a study space as well

My university has a brilliant student union who support you in every and any course but one thing I would say is the biggest let down is the amount of strikes we have had to experience do to the university board putting money above there students and staff, many facilities due to this have been closed. As a new student I was craving the uni experience but goldsmiths couldn’t provide that. I wish they helped students out more and fairly paid staff. Otherwise the curriculum and learning aspect is great. I have some of the most supportive lecturers who go above and beyond to help us.

My course is great, lecturers and tutors have always been the most helpful. But the only issue has been we haven’t had much of a chance to get internships or any voluntary work within our field. There is always help available during coursework submission and lecturers give all the content need be however, the overlap of coursework makes it hard to keep up and that would be the only downside. I also wish that we would get our feedback on each essay faster as they are never given in the deadline they told us they would.
