I came to uni after two years out of education and I was terrified of doing so and how behind I would be compared to all the other students fresh out of college - my worries have been completely alleviated sine then and I'm now planning my master's application at BU - I don't feel ready to leave as I have been made to feel so at home here and I couldn't be more grateful. If I could make any improvement suggestions it would be to promote and arrange more alcohol-free freshers events for those who don't enjoy clubbing or raves - I personally feel uncomfortable in those environments and would've appreciated more evening activities for those in my situation.

Course rating

The lecturers in my department are incredible; they are always on hand with support and advice with 24/7 discussion forums about lectures and assignment materials and they're always running workshops to help with statistics support and formatting assignments and all sorts! If I was to make any suggestions for improvement it would be to have timetabled sessions after students receive their assignment feedback so they can discuss the reasoning behind their grades and talk about improving in person.

The support offered at Bournemouth University has been extremely helpful in settling into uni life and is extremely effective.

The SUBU building is easy to find and the reps are always available.

It could not have been at a better location, getting to Bournemouth university is extremely easy

How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?

There is great diversity in activities and societies at Bournemouth university. I never thought there’d be so many opportunities to have fun at uni!

The way that the courses within the psychology undergraduate are well taught. I like the combination of lectures and seminars. However, some seminars are not very useful and could improve.
