I feel like student housing is pretty bad. Most student houses are mouldy, with rats etc. I haven’t heard anyone have a wonderful student accommodation experience apart from halls. I like that everything is next to each other. All buildings and shops and nightlife are in one spot

Portsmouth clearly cares about providing students with good lecturers, staff and resources all around. We're given workshops and other spaces to explore our work and the staff are also passionate about what they do, which makes it all the more fun to work with them. Sometimes I wish more emphasis could be put on specific employment opportunities, but having access to our careers services for 5 years after we graduate is definitely nice.

We're only timetabled one day a week on a Masters, but this time is definitely used very effectively. We have a great mix of workshops, trying new artistic methods and having group tutorials to see what our peers are getting on with. We also have the option for individual tutorials most weeks and can always email another lecturer for specific advice, and our lecturers come from varied backgrounds, so no matter what practice we want to go into it feels like someone will understand. The facilities are great, with inductions woven in with our syllabus too.
