It's very safe, as it is a campus uni and it feels like an entire community. It's close to an Aldi and a Tesco. There are loads of events on throughout the week such as club nights or quizzes, with hundreds of societies you can join. However, I've been unable to make friends and the uni does feel very quiet sometimes.

Most of the hours are independent which is common for social science degrees. I would like to have more contact hours though. The course content is brilliant depending on what modules you take, however in the first year it can be quite dry as some of the core modules are just theory that you may have learnt at A levels or just through an interest in politics.

The halls are in a very safe location, with great lighting at night and a calm atmosphere. It's a very green area with a lake right next to it, and it's a 10-15 minute walk to most places on campus. However it's the furthest accomodation away from the shopping centre (25-30 minutes). It's very quiet and I would have liked to be in a louder flat but that just may be because of the people I was allocated with.

My economics department last year was not very helpful with continuous administration issues
