Really friendly uni situation near the city centre, but still a very green place. The departments are active and it's fantastic here! My professors are very keen and love the subject, I've met fantastic people and the housing in the second year is some of the cheapest in England!

The uni are constantly refurbishing old buildings and we have fast wifi all over campus, plus the mulit-million pound library is amazing! It's a quite modern uni and our department has a wide range of useful facilities for us.

I've had to use the student welfare service a number of times and they've always been excellent. The finance team are great and the university make sure there is plenty of support for students, and that we know about it.

I don't know much about them but they are very good at advertsing for campagins and voting and are good at keeping students up to date with current issues. The student union nights are great too!

I adore the city centre. Coming from London, I was worried it would be tiny in comparison but it's a lot bigger than I thought! It has an amazing shopping centre, a market with the cheapest and freshest fruit and veg I've ever seen, plus lots of vintage lanes and good transport links.

I haven't experience many but the ones I've been a part of have been excellent. They seem very active and are keen for their members to socialise.

I really enjoy most of my lectures, although I have had a couple where it's literally a professor reading from a Powerpoint, but I think that's a shared university experience across the UK!

For my particular course, there's a 90-100% emplyoment rate and they make such a huge effort to get you thinking about careers, including the annual careers fair and the career development service, both of which are extremely useful.

In the first year, I think it's way too far away. I didn't even manage to get a place in the student village (a 40 min walk away) so did feel a bit isolated from everyone. That being said, it was nice visiting people and the actual buildings are lovely. Just the distance is a bit inconvinient.
