Cardiff is such a great city to study in as everything in walkable, the people are super friendly, and beautiful when there is an occasional break from the dull welsh weather The university has great facilities and the SU nights are unmatched Only improvements really relate to the COVID years and online learning, I am very glad to be back to in person teaching

Marine Geography has been such a great course at Cardiff, mainly as it has a bit more identity than the other earth science degrees. Lecture content is delivered very well and enhanced with weekly practicals and workshops. By far the best aspect of Marine Geography is all the field and boat work we are taken on! Field courses are also an amazing way to get to know the cohort. Sad to hear that future students will be asked to pay for theirs though

Gate was the most expensive choice within Taly and really doesnt see that many benefits over the others. That said I mainly chose it as there were more people per flat (minimum 6) Very well equipped and generally looked after

Best - course is very interesting and engaging with lots of fieldwork Worst - got told about placements way too late

Best - internet was normally good and big room sizes Worst - too far away
