Student safety and community feel is very strong. Lots of history surrounding the university and the town is beautiful. To improve I would have better transport for student to move between town and the nearest cities (like Edinburgh), better nightlife for the students and more accomodation.

Labs and facilities for chemistry are very good. Contact hours are high but smaller group contact hours (with tutors) are much lower at our year and sometimes the speed of the courses is too quick.

University halls
What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?
The DRA halls are very safe and hold a lot of students so it’s easy to meet people in halls but they are the furthest from town centre and you can feel easily disconnected from the nightlife. Management and maintenance is good and we get help quickly if anything needs fixing but they are incredibly strict on cleaning and we are frequently checked to a standard that I think is too high for students and the amount of time we spend (or rather don’t spend) at home.

Wonderful atmosphere and sense of community. The small size of the town and university means you are never far away from people if you need help or are wanting to do something fun. It offers a completely unique university experience and gives you excellent prospects at the end of your time here.
Facilities
How good are your university's facilities?
Lots of different things to do in the sports Union and lots of different buildings to study or work in depending on the environment you like working in.
Student support
How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).
Night line and student services are available for people to talk to if they have any problems or worries they wish to discuss. They could improve on a follow up procedure to more serious issues.
Students' union
What do you think of your Students' Union in terms of student representation and facilities?
Recently developed the facilities are improved if a little on the small side. Always good for a the end of a night out as you are guaranteed to bump into people you know.
Local life
Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?
St. Andrews is a town and so City life is not really applicable. Great atmosphere and not far from Dundee if people want to go somewhere a bit more city like
Societies and Sports
How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?
Excellent choice of societies and sports clubs to join depending on your interests and lots of new things to try out!
Lecturers and teaching quality
What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?
Lecturers clear and ready to help if you are having difficulties. The course is very interesting and challenging.
Career prospects
How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?
Excellent careers centre and plenty of opportunities for internships through the university to boost your cv. Industrial placements are offered as part of the degree course making you more desirable to employers. Also the difficulty of the degrees offered here make you at the top of the pile of graduates applying for jobs
University halls
What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?
Clean, comfortable and well laid out. If there are any problems with things that have been damaged they are quick to fix or replace it.
