Best aspect is the people that you meet, very friendly, and the lecturers are always willing to help if you need. The facilities are also top quality and very comfortable to study in. The worst aspect probably accommodation. Due to oversubscription some students have not been able to secure university accommodation and had to either stay at home or seek private accommodation.

The best aspect of my course is the practical aspect. We have a lot of time in the labs experiencing our field first hand and not just in theory. I think this helps us gain a better and more comprehensive understanding of of our subject. Furthermore resources such as recorded lectures are made available at any time which can prove invaluable for studying. The worst aspect, like any course, is the workload. It can sometimes be overwhelming given the extra lab time, lectures and tutorials. However, it’s important to find a routine and through that you can find a balance, even if it might take a while.

Belfast is a very friendly city and most people will welcome you with open arms. There is an abundance of coffee shops, restaurants and stores, all a student could want. The nightlife is very alive so you don’t need to worry about your life getting dull. Overall it’s a city I’ve come to love in my time here.
