There is a lot of societies in different areas to join, no matter what you are interested in, the funding towards them hosts events in the society and they are a great way to meet people personal tutors are very helpful at providing information and guidance on assignments, future plans and supervisors are very good for the dissertations in third year. i feel the disability support for mental health could be slightly improved as they do not seem to check up on you after talking to them about your needs. i feel it would be beneficial maybe once or twice a year to have an email just to see how you are and check in.

the course is now taught fully on campus and my rooms are usually the same for each module. it is three hours for one lecture a week, which is good but can be a drag. i do wish there was still online lectures/recorded lectures to make it easier when you are unable to make it in. contact with lecturers is okay, they generally respond well and are helpful with your queries. personal tutors in first and second year you generally have to ask for 1-1's as theres usually around 8 people per lecturer so the time is a basic lecture design and sometimes its not necessary to go.

they had 24h security guards which was good for safety purposes but they were extremely overbearing and just allowed themselves in your flat overnight whenever. i remember we had a quiet party one night and one security guard let himself in and told us it was past our bedtime at 11PM! we thought it was a joke at first but then he sent us to our rooms. we also had the same thing happen another night with a lady security guards who sent us all to our rooms just to check we lived there. even so, why? had no reason to be there and just let herself in our flat had an emergency at one point and i was treated awfully for it. if you have a car and work nights, you are not getting back in. the gates shut, like a curfew to get back in before they lock you out. i got back at 2am one night showed all my student credentials and was not allowed back into my own place of residence. if you have a car you are better off at clayhill or one with parking without these stupid barriers. inside the gates is another barrier that your id lets you in so its not like randomers can make it in anyway! you dont come to university to be treated like a prisoner.

The best experience I have had from uni was the friends I've life made for life, on and outside of my course. The teachers and also the whole uni experience at Kingston has been amazing so far. The worst experience has been the online lectures for all my modules - definitely felt unmotivated.

The best thing about the course was teachers. Most teachers were very helpful especially with the work they gave us. The worst again was when online lectures was a thing, with online connections failing and missing important information.
