The campus feels modern and cosmopolitan, and I’ve felt well supported by the student mental health team. Its location within Plymouth makes it easy to reach by public transport, and it offers every facility I need, from study pods to research labs, all clearly signposted and accessible, with good food options nearby. Student life for mature students is more limited, and the Students’ Union isn’t really geared towards middle-aged students, which is understandable given the university’s main demographic of 18–21 year-olds.

Studying Dietetics at Plymouth has been a genuinely great experience. The course feels well thought out and practical, and the lecturers really know their stuff. They’re approachable, supportive, and clearly want us to succeed. What I’ve liked most is how the learning links to real clinical practice. The case-based sessions, simulations, and placement prep make everything feel more manageable and give you confidence that you’re actually learning how to be a dietitian, not just memorising content. The mix of theory and hands-on learning is spot on. As a mature student, I’ve found the course friendly and inclusive. It’s a challenging degree, but I feel well supported.
