The university is filled with all types of subjects and students with activities always happening. I find that coming from a small town, as busy as it can get, its still smaller than those of larger groups such as cambridge, leeds etc and therfore alot more opportunity for one to one if available. The one thing is balancing time and having the support for this. Sometimes working is something unavoidable so make sure you have support in this beforehand.

Lectures are always happy to take questions and offer advice. The course lacks in materials that can be given for help, alot of things will need to be gathered yourself.

Cheltenham is a busy area with opportunities for festivals, events always going on. Christmas markets and a good hit along with the student life, with lots of options from pubs to clubs, all offering student nights. Cost of living is a little higher than most places along with shop options etc. Multiple different public transport opportunities, however delays within the 10 and 94 (buses up to Gloucester) although they do run till late which allows for ways home if you've gone out for the night.

The halls are apart from all campus which allow for a diverse group of other student that will live with you, most halls will have multiple different students studying a diverse options of subjects which allow for a larger friendship group. They have some small facilities where food was available along with a studying suit and common areas. The halls are expensive compared to a student rent, and is away from town and campuses. At least 20-30 min walk to the francis and hardwick. Although its well looked after and security keeps it safe along with the gate surrounding most halls.

Support from tutors was incredible, on BA and MA. The university does need to be more disabled friendly - the techs were amazing and so helpful , however they support 5 years of students (BA/MA) - disabled students would greatly benefit from specific assistance to help make physical work. Perhaps this is something the DSA need to implement

I have wildly fluctuating energy levels due to disability and the team were fantastic in enabling me to learn, and have access to the library. Due to the library building being a ptsd trigger, they used to bring books to me on campus, to avoid me from being exposed to a trigger. All course materials were available online after seminars, I had a note taker in addition - all this meant I could take in the material in my own time. I would attend seminars but get exhausted and note take it all in, so these things meant that I could properly research and get the best out of the course, and myself. The tutors worked hard to make if possible for me to achieve the best I could, around the limitations of my body.
