I think Lancaster is a hidden treasure. With it's flexible degree program you can pursue subjects outside your main department: Ex. I'm doing Fine Art with modules in biology and chemistry. The college system is great, you're a member of a close-knit community with friendly rivalries with other colleges. There is also such a diverse range of societies and things to do on campus. There's so much on campus, it's very easy to get stuck in the Lancaster bubble because of how readily available everything is! The campus has modern buildings while Lancaster itself is old fashioned and classic.

It's quaint in town with many shops, clubs and a movie theatre. People from busy cities may not be so find as it is little, but I love it.

Bowland Halls is the best, seriously. I'm pretty happy with what I got for my money.

Mine has been very good. I had a bad start with the flat I was initially placed in but tutors, wellbeing officers, and accomodation officers quickly rallied around to support me. I feel fully supported by the university. I thoroughly enjoy my course and get on well with all my tutors. I am very glad I chose to attend Lancaster.

The university has a good amount of fascilities. Our library is particularly impressive. For art students, we have purpose built studios and workshops.

Extremely good. All tutors have open office hours that you can drop in for. You can also email to organise meetings. I have always found them to be very supportive. Each college has wellbeing officers and councillors that you can see. There are regular drop in sessions for these. Student services is also always helpful.

I run LU Barnardo's Society. I have found that our students union is quite disorganised. We have no postal system, and society storage is a mess. However, when I needed help from my union last year, I was instantly given a representative to work with and was thoroughly supported. There are both pros and cons.

Our city is small but lively. There is always a lot going on and pleanty to be involved with. Our night life lacks compared to larger cities but this should be expected.

We have a huge amount of societies that vary massively. There is literally something for everyone. The students union is also very willing to set up new societies.

I like how free Fine Art is. Are projects are all self run and we all have our own studio space. Alongside this, we also have regular one-to-one tutorials with tutors assigned to you based on your practice. For example, I do sculpture, so my tutor has a degree in sculpture. There is a wide range of modules you can take to complement this too, and not just within Fine Art. There is nothing wrong with my course, I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of it.

Each department has a careers staff representative. We have a careers department that is linked to this. There are also placement modules you can take as part of your degree, and more intense sandwhich degrees for those that want them. I also have a wide amount of transferrable skills gained through my course.
