From the moment I first came to the campus I knew this is a place for me - autistic weird individual. The place is full of such individuals and everyone is massively supported, whether it's your disability, queerness or quirkiness, the environment is just nourishing and very accepting. Same goes for tutors, who are just amazing. They know well their field, they prepare in advance and provide study materials and advice, very thoroughly. Students union, Disability support and opportunities to earn money from art is what makes this uni stand out, in my opinion. Also very high quality of teaching and excellent competence of tutors (practicing artists) is contributing to my positive experience in learning. The best facilities for me is our refectory with freshly cooked lunches, arts bar where you can chill out on sofa drinking costa coffee and eating pepperoni pizza, while working on your laptop writing an essay. The socond favourite place for me is library. As a typical book worm I find the collections there fascinating, especially that there are not only books to check out there but also music, films, artists books and many more. The only thing I could complain about is that there is no kiln for ceramics and you have to buy all your materials, which for fine artist (and a poor student) this can be very limiting.

The best part of my course is absolute freedom regarding what I want to explore and in which form or medium. Tutors are there to support me while I choose where I go in my artistic practice. I love that! The problem is lack of materials. There is art shop on the campus but prices there aren't different to what everywhere else costs. There is no discounted or free materials. This is a huge problem in times of economic crisis where studying itself is a financial challenge.
