The best aspects of university life are the opportunities it presents, while the worst aspects are my inability to make use of as many of them as possible.

The best thing about the course is the teaching, while the worst thing about it is the lack of choices.

The university is beautiful and the library is great! Even though it can get crowded it’s still a lovely place to study. The students union is new and it is good as well. However there isn’t enough seating even though it’s such a big space. I usually struggle to find somewhere to work or eat comfortably. As I study Film we are in the cinema room therefore we have no desks for writing notes which can be annoying but not a big issue. Other than that the university itself is great and they even provide period products in the toilets which is a big help

I think the lecturers are overall great and they put on various events for my course with lots of fun things to do which is good! However I do think they lean more towards the academic side even with creative courses. My course is film studies and production. It is meant to be 50/50 theory and practice but it is more 80% theory and 20% practice which is unfortunate. It also works out that all of our deadlines are within the space of three days. Last semester I had 2 x 2500 word essays due on the same day which made it really stressful.
