People are very supportive and nice, and the student union always has a lot going on that they keep students very informed about on their social media.

We don’t have work placement or internship years or things like that during the course I’m doing, but we do have the opportunity to do CPD hours on projects and productions that other students request help for, which is why the rating I’ve put down is lower. I think that doing a placement for a term or so might be good and would definitely be good for CV’s when entering industry after completing the course.

I’m not sure about the graduate employment opportunities, but there likely isn’t too many for my course as there’s a lot of people on it and not enough places in the area to employ so many people who are all looking to be doing what will pretty much be the same job roles. There’s a lot of homeless people around town, as well as people who are drunk and high and a bit aggressive, which, especially as a young woman, doesn’t make it feel very safe at times. That and there’s quite a lot of spiking incidents (some may not be reported) and that doesn’t help with making nights out feel any safer.

Both halls have been quite nice in terms of student accommodation, though I do feel like prices are rising for them, and it isn’t necessarily a good reflection of the accommodation or of the people who have to stay in them, depending on student loans to pay for it.
