The University has excellent facilities and some of the best resources to help students. I think teaching could be improved since tge course I progressing very fast it gives little time for students to prepare for tests and assignment. Some teachers are good while others do not put much effort in explaing the concepts properly.

The best part is we can learn of new skills in a short duration. Sometimes I feel that some modules are not the best for the given course especially for my course.

The University accommodation is close to the university so I don not need to spend money on transportation. Also it has good facilities and are good value for money. The worst part is the fire alarms especially in the south towers that are happening frequently. And the doors in the flats are poorly designed, they slam so hard that they create a large noise that is very disturbing. Although this could be avoided if the flatmates close their doors slowly but most of them do not and it's disturbing especially at night when sleeping.

One of the best things about Essex is that they have such good facilities that are always available for students. The library is well-equipped and always open to students and the whole campus, especially the CSEE building, has so many computers that students can use for their work. Also, the campus is so beautiful. You could sit in the student centre and watch the fountain and the ducks playing around in the lake all day. It's a very serene place. The only thing I'm not too keen on is can't really be changed but I'm not a fan of how hilly the whole town is. Makes it harder to walk anywhere; but that's a very personal perspective.

My course is fully taught in-person but I personally think there's a number of modules that can be taught online; especially the module's with no practical aspect to them. The course hours are fine although the classes are too spaced out for me. And the contact hours with lecturers is understandable; they also have classes to teach. I just wish it would improve as it's not easy to get across to some lecturers right now and that's not very nice when you have a project with a deadline that they're supervising.

More part-time work opportunities are desperately needed, especially for international students.
