The uni works you hard, but it has all the facilities and support readily available for when you need it. The University of Portsmouth could be better at catering to and understanding the needs of students who commute, but my course is interesting and enjoyable.

In second year, each lecture and each module feels unique and they don't overlap, however the modules did overlap a lot in first year making some lectures feel like time that could've been spent on other things.

I think the Marine Environmental Science course needs a lot of work as myself and fellow students find that we're taught the same varied modules as the environmental scientist students and then expected to perform at the same degree as the Marine Biologists in our shared modules whose course is much for specific and a lot more practical. Aside from the course its a great location, clean campus and supportive staff.

Very limited tutor contact. Limited marine content considering this is a marine course, feels more like an environmental science course.

Was very rare that our maintenance requests would be responded too. Spent the entire year with limited wifi, limited heating and no oven or stove. Location was the only redeeming quality.
