Bangor is located right next to the mountains of Eryri, brilliant for anyone who loves the outdoors! The teaching staff are wonderful and always helpful. I’ve enjoyed all of my lectures so far and can’t wait to return next semester!

All compulsory lectures are in-person and are recorded meaning you can revisit content. The contact hours are well balanced and not overwhelming.

I’m in the older block and so they lack modern features. However they have all the necessities and it’s really who you live with which makes it!

Bangor has captured my heart! It's an amazing place to study and live. The natural environment here is breathtakingly gorgeous. I did my Masters in International Relations and Politics first in Sheffield, and have moved here to accomplish my PhD in Sociology. The educational environment, as well as the student-instructor relationship, is extremely beneficial and sustaining. I am so happy to be here!

My PhD supervisors are so supportive and they are my role models! For example, before starting the PhD, I did not have any idea how to use the NVivo program, and although it is very important for analysing the data in my research, I should have learned how to use it before starting my study, they were very understanding and supportive and registered me in a module to learn how to use it in the first semester of my study. I'm honestly learning a lot in each meeting with them, and they have published a lot in my field (researching in migration). I always feel so happy to have more comments on my work ,so I can develop and redraft it to its best. They are very friendly and do not stress me out. They make me feel free to arrange my meetings with them whenever I am ready. I highly appreciate their efforts and feel lucky to have had them during my PhD journey. I would love to keep my relationship with them after that! I honestly have not noticed any negative things so far on my course! I am more than happy with it! And I am even looking forward to pursuing my postdoctoral studies in Bangor!
