My worst experience was the lack of support I received from the university in terms of finance. As an MSc student I was excluded from things like the Hardship Fund, which made student life incredibly difficult as I struggled to get a job in Liverpool and had no maintenance loan. On the other hand, I had a mostly positive experience in my course department, with most of the lecturers seeming engaged and passionate about their work

Lecturers were often late with feedback which had negative consequences for my grades, but also often made time to meet with you and give advice so it wasn't all bad

Was good value for money and social, however during covid the management of the halls was overly strict, with security and the student reps constantly patrolling the area and throwing out fines to people
