I love lancaster university, it has such a community feel and has never failed to feel like home. The facilities on campus are great and town has everything you would need. It's close to Morecombe, the Lakes, Liverpool, Manchester so it's always fun to have a day trip away if wanted. My course is really engaging and interesting and the support from the course, careers team and mental health support is excellent.

I personally like in-class parts of my course - fieldtrips, lab work, seminars. I don't really enjoy online learning as you don't have that personal touch and ease of asking questions and interacting with other classmates. I have lots of contact hours.

I think in first year the cost of my accomodation was too much, especially as in town they are much more affordable. However, I loved my accomodation overall it had nice rooms and a great social space in the sitting room/kitchen so I did have a great year. The accomodation was also in a good location on campus as it wasn't too in the centre but still a short walk to Alex Square, for example.

The accommodation in lancaster is among the best in the UK. Also, the close-campus environment is another attractive point that you can focus on your study rather than being distracted by the city life!
