The campus is lovely, it is such a nice place to live and study. It is close to town, with great transport links everywhere, for food shops, going out, sports and travel, 23 mins to London on the train. The university itself has a great community atmosphere, people are just very friendly and kind, from just walking around and once getting to know people, which I didn't feel was the case at other unis. I chose to come to uni after a few years and after already deciding that uni wasn't for me, however, my opinion has really changed since then due to being on a great course with brilliant support and people, but also the recreational activities available that wouldn't necessarily have been on offer for me otherwise. If I could improve it would just be advertising these aspects further either to new/potential students but also to ones already here, so that you know you really do have access to these things.

Blackboard is used and I think it's really effective at providing all of the information in an easy-to-find way. My course specifically is really great as it offers such a variety of disciplines within one subject. whilst also being able to specialize you can also keep it broader. So far we have had many contact hours and I think this is great, especially as most things are recorded so you can go back over to remember things more clearly and also to fill in gaps in your notes to get the most out of these sessions. One thing I would improve on is making sure they are all recorded as it is so useful that they are, as sometimes you just don't understand what the lecture was about until you go over it again, and all the information is not necessarily on the PowerPoint slides. this also helps when you are ill and unable to make it to a lecture you don't miss out on the learning.

I feel very safe in these halls as there is 24/7 security for the site, for when incidents might occur, but also there are safety officers that walk around to check throughout the night when the reception is closed. The location is good as it is surrounded by other halls of the university, and is just over the road of campus,(closer to some buildings than other halls the other side of campus, I think). There is a greggs, a couple food places, corner shops and a GP, right next to the halls. Property management is good aswell, there is an app to report anything broken or wrong, and they will sort it out, and tell you on the app once it has been sorted.

Excellent campus and the student support facilities are really useful if you need help with anything. The social life is what you make it but its probably not the most lively uni if that's what you are after

As with any course some lecturers are better than others but overall the range and quality of content is good

Good value for money - it is one of the cheapest en suite halls at Reading. Facilities are slightly outdated and it is a bit of a walk from campus but overall not too bad
