I've loved it, been here 5 years and its been great. I've enjoyed my courses and made some great mates. I've always felt safe here too, very rarely had any hassle which I know is not always the case in bigger cities.

Academic wise its a mixed bag and depends on department, course and even just who your tutor is, over all its good but not amazing. Counselling is good up until a certain level, I feel like their base line counselling is good but their support for more serious mental health issues could be better.

I think its good but thats because I work there and can see behind the scenes and all the hard work thats put in! I think students have a negative perception of it because they don't understand how to access the opportunities even though the union tries to advertise them best they can. I also think that students are exposed more to negative press about the SU as people love to hear about drama, rather than any good news stories which is a shame.

I personally really like it, not too big not too small. Can always find your friends on a night out and theres plenty of shops and facilities

Theres so many of them and your involvement is really what you make of it. You can go to as many as you like until you find your clan.

I like the diversity in modules available and the flexibility of the course in that sense. I dont like how coursework heavy it is, could do with a couple more exams.

Through the Lancaster Award, society opportunities, volunteering opportunities, workshops and part-time jobs on campus. Careers also walk you through anything you need help with and there are also plenty of careers events.

It's been really lovely! I wish I was an undergrad as I feel I could enjoy it even more that way but still great, great experience. I am happy with both the university and the city.

So far it's been great! There is construction work happening so that's a bit inconvenient and I feel they could have more signs to point towards buildings and certain lecture theatre but other than that great.

I don't think I will be lacking support this year. They've made it very clear where I can get help and what my options are.

It seems like a nice union and they have some interesting things going on. I enjoy volunteering through Green Lancaster and helping at the farm.

The city is quite small but it's very tranquil and there's a lot to do actually. It's not Manchester in terms of city life but it's great because it can help you focus on studying.

Some were good and some bad but that's everywhere

I have noticed any bad parts yet! The teaching is really well done and very interesting. Lectures to seem to run late in the afternoon (18.00) but that could just be me.

They have a large array of workshops and skills sessions running quite frequently. I also get lots of weekly reminders from the careers service itself as well as their representatives from each department.
