Coventry University is one of the most amazing, yes most amazing, universities ever! I love the fact that this university accept so much multicultural individuals with so many different backgrounds, cultures and traditions and cherishes each one of them. When I first arrived here, I was so scared, because as a foreigner, always feeling anxious that I would be classified as 'other' just because I am not originally from the UK. However, Coventry University made me feel not so 'different' and part of the society. The campus is just amazing, there are so many different facilities which a student can use to rest, study or just chill for a moment. I like the diversity in classes, lectures and as whole the fact that everyone is always so positive, smiling and helpful when needed.

It was really sad for me when I first started because of the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions. We had firstly on-line learning process which was really difficult to keep your focus on your lectures not on your phone. Fortunately, after that we had blended learning process, which helped with more practical lessons, than just material ones and helped understanding the material taught easier. Our lectures were reasonably short timed. Around 120 minutes with 40 minutes break, which was enough to go grab a bite or have a coffee before other classes. The lecturers were always happy to respond to whatever silly questions I had, even gave suggestions for improvement, which I value a lot! Thankfully, Coventry University has many facilities for student support, for instance- Student Union or you can contact members from the staff or even the support centre.

I would say that it was a bit too price-y but overall the most amazing freshmen year!

Best aspects is the care that the uni has towards mental illness by recognising the possibilities in which it could affect students and taking the necessary steps to address them. Long story short, the Student support is very outstanding. Worst aspect would be communication timing between university bodies and students. Although it’s not as bad as the word “worst” would suggest, but it needs improving because a lot of students who go through an urgent matter would want to get a hold of uni as soon as possible. My experience recorded a lot of late replies, however, the concern was always addressed. I understand that uni receives a lot of emails and it would require maybe days to respond, however sometimes it’s too late. Otherwise the university is a very good place to learn and enjoy uni life, making it easy to socialise with new people and getting to meet new people from different backgrounds and cultures

For me, I prefer face-to-face learning because it’s more interactive, which is an important factor in education. However, I do believe that online taught classes are also important for people who are unable to attend these classes for various personal reasons. Having both makes it more flexible for all kinds of students

Uni being so close to the city centre makes it a very good place to meet lots of people and conduct your daily activities (i.e. shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, and other activities), yet still remain close to uni. Campus is very big, yet perfectly placed as well
