The cliché goes that uni is the time of your life. I have had some ups and downs, but uni has certainly been an experience, both academically and personally and I would recommend people to go to uni if it's academically and financially viable for them to do so.

Facilities, for me, are excellent. It is rare to be left without a computer in the library for instance.

I am aware of financial support system at the uni and have relied on them in the past. They were very helpful and probably their role is a little understated.

I do not really take part/use the SU and its facilities so it's difficult to give a true opinion. It certainly looks good and appears to be active, which is positive.

I don't go out (in terms of nightlife) very often, but I am partial to attending sports events at the Echo (darts/boxing). I also spend time in and around the city and wider area taking in football matches at varying levels.

I dabbled in football first year and judo last year. However, I don't really have much contact with clubs/societies so it's difficult to say.

It is highly engaging and thought-provoking, covering topics that I have a strong interest in.

I anticipate a struggle post-uni, as a result of the current financial climate, although it is improving. There is a case for stating that a degree now does not hold the same sway as it used to and this obviously has to be taken into consideration.

I live in newly built halls and although it is nearly twice as expensive as my student house from last year, it is preferable to the house. I am closer location-wise to uni, there are minimal distractions and it is fully furnished and well-kept, giving me one less thing to worry about.
