student support really needs improvement - mental health services hard to access and extremely limited availability. campus is well located and there’s lots of different spaces to use to do work in groups or independently. libraries are well equipped and the guild has good bands which play.

seminar group sizes are small so you get to know your tutors and can get learning support if you need. tutors are only available for a limited number of hours a week which can make it hard to get to them, but when you do they are very helpful. module choices could be better, seem a bit samey and can be restrictive with what you can and can’t pick due to credit balance restrictions. would be more useful to have more 15 credit modules for flexibility. lecturers are very knowledgeable.

great location, close to lectures and town centre. rooms have everything you need and are a good size, lots of storage. social spaces are fun and well equipped.

Great - I’ve loved my time here during my first year! The pandemic meant that I was worried about being at uni and quite far away from home, but the university has supported me and kept me updated throughout my time here. I’m really looking forward to the next year in Liverpool.

I’ve been in uni halls for my first year and the standard has been great. I’ve had access to a clean shared kitchen and an en-suite, which was nice to have when I was getting started at uni. I think my halls were a bit overpriced considering the rate for private accommodation but it was great nevertheless. Study resources, such as the library, have been wonderful and helpful throughout my study time, and if I had a problem it was quickly fixed by the team.

Support is available for students, but I do think they should make it more obvious about what steps you should take if you’re feeling upset.

Despite everything being online during the pandemic, my course and tutors have really helped me get started at university and push myself towards the best I can achieve. The lack of contact hours shocked me at the beginning, but the university does what it can to help students get started with study in their own time.

Great availability of careers advice and access to Handshake. I am not incredibly focused on my career yet because I’m only in first year, but the support is available if you are.
