No complaints regarding the content learnt or the lecturers who are all fantastic. The university has great coffee shops and a gym which I appreciate and overall it’s quite a welcoming place to be. The only downside I would say is that, as a mature student I have always felt quite isolated. There are no other mature students on my course and whilst there is a society for mature students, they have never arranged a meeting to knowledge.

Almost all lectures and seminars are in person with the occasional one online which I don’t mind. The lecturers are all brilliant and I can’t fault any of them. They’re open to any questions you may have and try their best to help. I love most of the course content. The downside is the timetabling for me. I commute which takes me 1.5 hours each way and this year I have had at least one day a week where there is a 4-5 hour gap between lectures which is crazy. It works out ok if I have work to do to fill the time but I don’t always and then have to find some way of filling such a large chunk of time.

The students union really is the glue that holds the university together. There is such an amazing variety of events that allow students to try new things and visit new places. As well as that, their equity policy is incredible, making sure everyone gets what they need. Some of the events run by the university’s different schools are solely for business students. This has nothing to do with the students union, but it seems that specific school excludes other students.

Amazing support from lecturers all the time, no question is a silly question for them. The course hours vary but it allows students time to work on the assignments we are given.

The kindest landlord who supports tenants through even the smallest amenities problems. Each studio flat has everything you need, and are the cheapest studio flats in Huddersfield.
