It can definitely be improved if they didn't use so much money and effort hosting silly activities like a festival hosted by some tiktoker, or giving every transgender person 50 quid on trans awareness week. i think these resources can be better used elsewhere. otherwise the people here are very friendly, and things like blackboard make for very useful studying tools. one thing i absolutely despise is this default requirement on my university microsoft account that makes me get a 2FA code every 3 days to log into any university-related thing, be it my scheduling website or my email. it's super annoying and it would be great if they allowed us to turn it off. living in the on-campus accommodation is convenient because all my classes are a 5 minute's walk away, but this also means that i need to take a bus if i want to go out into the city, which is a bit tedious, but not too bad.

some professors are really good, but others are kind of dreadful, either because they have very thick accents, or are just aren't stellar educators. but what's convenient is that i can get in touch with them if i ever have an issue and they'll help me out. the courses are pretty interesting, even though i already know much of what is covered (but that's what i get for not studying for my a levels enough and going to foundation year).
