The uni is great for learning. Not only is it an amazing and social city, but the teaching at SHU makes it enjoyable for all students. It's not hard to meet people when in Sheffield as theres so many local places where students meet up. The Uni is nice and modern and is relaxing to learn in. Overall, I recommend SHU!

The course is great and has many things for us to do to help us with our professional development. However, 9 times out of 10 me and my peers find ourselves going to lectures where the lecturer will just read off the slides. This makes it unenjoyable to go. The seminars are really good for learning and are effective in our teaching career. We don't get much time with our tutor as we don't need it as of yet. I know that when I need my tutor I can contact him.

The location is right in the city centre and close to everything. 10 minute walk to the train station, 3 minute walk to the city campus and 5 minutes from the moor which has lots of shops including primark, sainsburys and many coffee shops. We pay less than others so the accomodation isn't as nice looking, but during freshers you won't be bothered at all. The room iz cozy still and the kitchen can be made cozy. The wifi is okay and will get my work done but when I come to chill in my bed, my phone will stop working for a bit. The management is okay.
