The University is great overall, its close to town for easy transport and while there aren't many on campus facilities its good overall. Extensive library with lots of places to sit and chill, and the campus has recently had renovations to try improve student experience. My main positive feedback for USW is the lecturers. All the ones ive had have been amazing, so supportive, they get to know you as an individual as opposed to just hiding behind a computer screen. Theyve helped and supported me in both academic and personal aspects and im so grateful for all of them. Student life is a bit quiet in Newport due to the city rather than the university itself, but its not far to get to Cardiff for a decent night out. Been a student here many years and still got 2 years to go, but im still happy I chose this as my university for both my undergraduate and Masters degree!!

Im doing my course part time, so im in one evening a week for 2 hours, but i feel like im learning so much! My lecturer is amazing and fills the lectures with so much knowledge its a wonder how she fits it all into just 2 hours!

Ive lived in halls for 2 years now and unfortunately it has gone a bit downhill in the past year. Location is fantastic as its about 5-10 minute walk to campus and is not far from main city centre and transport links. Theres been some issues with staff, but the staff that do their jobs properly are phenomenal. Amenities could be better but the night staff do run events that are usually a lot of fun and great to attend!
