The lecturers are enthusiastic about their field and are all friendly and helpful. The Universitys PAT system (personal academic tutor) is amazing and your tutor is always willing to help you in anyway they can. The library is full of books on all subjects and the library search system is easy to use, giving you access to academic journals, books, e-books, and other articles. There are an extensive number of study areas to be booked out which can give you a quiet place to study if you're commuting or if you prefer to keep your room as a resting area. Student services are helpful to an extent but in my experience can take time to resolve issues and can leave some students seeking more than they have provided. Some situations are out of the University's control but others could be dealt with and sometimes are left unresolved for longer periods of time and can cause stress. However, utilising the PAT system is great as your tutor wants the best for you and will always go to great lengths to ensure your are being helped, for example chasing up student services and other helpful departments. The student union is excellent with an extensive array of societies to join. They host event in the bar and this can be a great way to meet people in the first few weeks. There are also gym facilities and activities arranged through the active campus scheme such as basketball, badminton, table tennis and more. The University also offers evening classes such as language courses at a discount to students which can be a great way to improve you CV and pick up extra skills. The University of Chester is all around a great University, but may require improvements in some areas of student services.

Lectures are enjoyable and engaging, meaning it doesn't feel like an obligation to go as such. Obviously attendance is key, but the as the lecturers are passionate about their subjects, it means lectures are exciting to attend. The course content covers is ideal for learning and occasionally will cross over other courses for a module, meaning you can meet and network with people from your field on similar courses.

My accommodation is close to the University and the city meaning everything is in walking distance. There is security near by and all doors lock easily. The accommodation is good value for money, although there are marks and scuffs in walls and it needed a good clean upon arrival.

A wonderful university with lovely member of staffs and students. Suited in one of UK oldest city, it is highly recommended for students who wish to experience the real British way of life!
