I am studying online so I have only visited the campus once during the EWN Conference. The facilities were great and everyone seemed very friendly and helpful. Online learning is a huge chunk of my PhD so it is interesting to see how this is handled at the university. All my meetings with supervisors are online - this is not always fine for getting meetings scheduled where everyone can attend. Student life - there appears to be no facility for online students to meet and participate in discussions or socials. Many of the events are physical events at the university, which can leave online / distance learners feeling a little left out. Perhaps an event that distance learners can attend once or twice a year could be offered? Like the EWEN conference that I attended. This was great for networking and meeting other students.
Regular sessions with others doing postgraduate courses online would also help.

I am aware that setting up meetings with tutors is my responsibility, but when my original tutor left the University it took several months before I was able to meet with my tutor and get back into the swing of things. I have Diabetes which entitles me to DSA. I need structure to be given as part of my plan I find scheduling and organisation very difficult. I understand that arranging meetings with tutors is my responsibility. However, when my original tutor left the university, it took several months before I could meet with a new tutor and get back on track. I have diabetes, which qualifies me for the Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA). I require structure to be included in my support plan, as I find scheduling and organisation very challenging. I have had some great online chats with Guy who has helped me try and organise my time more effectively.

RAU is a great place to study agribusiness and it provides the opportunity to meet with the business people in the agribusiness industries in the UK. Additionally, all the staffs are very supportive and I have started to feel here as my second home. In RAU, the student support team is excellent and they never leave me alone when I faced any problems and I shared with them. However, it would be excellent if RAU can organise different trips in different tourist attractions places as most of the international students don't have car. Additionally, RAU can also introduce an English language support department where the information students can make an appointment with someone who will help in academic writing. It will help the international students to prepare their assignments properly and learn academic English as well.

The best thing in my course is, my tutors are very helpful and RAU gives us opportunity to meet our tutors when we need them and without any appointments.
