I love my course and supervisor although it’s a lot of money for distance learning. All communication is geared towards on-site students- it is often difficult to make sense of and navigate how information is applicable for me as a distance learner. That said, online study days are great and I have attended some interesting training modules on Inkpath.

Lancaster’s campus is often described as a small town of its own, with everything students need in one place. Easy access to Lancaster city — an affordable, lively student city with lots of events. ranks highly in UK league tables and offers excellent academic support.

The course uses a mix of in‑class teaching, recorded lectures, and online resources. This blended approach makes it easy to revisit complex topics and learn at my own pace, especially for technical modules. Coursework involves real datasets, case studies, and applied tools. This makes the learning experience more relevant and helps build skills that translate directly into internships and jobs. Assessment deadlines often cluster together, which can make some weeks extremely intense. Balancing multiple assignments at once can be challenging. Group projects are valuable, but the experience depends heavily on the group. Uneven contribution can make some projects more stressful than they need to be.

Rooms feel modern, and maintenance issues are usually resolved quickly. Shared kitchens and common areas help build friendships and make settling in much easier. Being close to lecture buildings, the library, shops, and bus stops saves a lot of time. It’s especially helpful during busy weeks or bad weather. The accommodation feels safe, with secure entry systems and staff available if anything goes wrong.
