It is a wonderful place to study with an amazing campus, college system, supporting students in all areas such as sports, music, well-being etc. Only problem I would like to mention is about cost of living supports. Even though we pay a lot for the tuition fee, we have to pay almost for the all activities in the University such to do sports (gym and to join the teams), to join freshers week activities etc. Another biggest problem for University of York students is that there is no supermarket close to the campus. There is only one in campus which is Nisa but it's much more expensive than a normal supermarket unfortunately.

Regarding the postgraduate programme, all lecturers are well-qualified and they perfectly explain the necessary topics which we need to know however, they focus only on the theoretical part all the time. Even if we understand the theory well, solving the questions is not possible without seeing any examples in the lectures, especially for the numerical modules. Moreover, the length of the seminars that we suppose to see examples are too short and never enough to solve the questions even in the problem sets.

Unfortunately, I can not say that I am glad with the accommodation. First reason is that the rooms are not modern furnished. Because of this, it is quite normal to see bed bugs and silverfishes in your room! In addition, cleaners come to clean our kitchen thankfully but before they came we have to make pre cleaning and if we don't do it we have to pay penalties! All people in the flat and 16 pounds per each! Last thing I don't like is that they just turn on the heaters 10 hours per day, not all day even in the cold weathers.
