BCU overall have been so accommodating when it comes to my studies. During my undergrad degree they lecturers went above and beyond for me when I had just given birth midway through my degree. And in my postgrad, the lecturers are so supportive. I’m based at Seacole and it’s always so clean and well managed. If I could improve anything, it would be to introduce more vegan options in the canteen for hot food. Typically there’s only 1 or 2, and it’ll be the soup or jacket potato, but nothing else. It would be nice to see one of the hot options being vegan. Especially due to the way society is going, and with the increase of veganism among the younger generations.

My course is well organised and ensure everyone is put on a placement successfully. This takes the pressure off to find your own placements. The course is well structured and the course content covers everything to get you ready for life as a dietitian. The only thing I’d like to see improvement wise would be more education on disease prevention diets, rather than a strong sole focus on treatment for chronic disease.

I’ve always felt looked after at BCU. I studied my undergrad here and now I’m onto my masters. All teaching, lecturers, experiences have been well worth the student loan! The only two frustrating things is in the Seacole building, the women’s toilets have been out of order on the first floor for nearly a year now, also the team that deals with grants for disability support still haven’t gotten back to me and it’s been nearly 2 months now, but that’s my only negatives. Overall I love it at BCU and I’m proud to be a student here!

I’ve loved my course so far, a perfect amount of written assignments, and the placements are invaluable. The only negative is when we’re in uni for an hour or 2, when some of us have over an hour commute to get in, however I’m aware it’s difficult to arrange modules to be on the same day as other taught content.
