The University of Westminster is a great place to study because it combines strong academic quality, real-world experience, and an excellent location. The university could please look into more affordable accommodation during term times

The best part of my course is that it is very practical and globally focused. It helps me understand real-world development issues such as poverty reduction, sustainability, project management, and policy analysis. The course also encourages critical thinking, group work, and independent research, which has improved my academic and professional skills. I also value the diverse perspectives from students and lecturers with international experience, which makes discussions more engaging and relevant. One challenging aspect is the heavy workload, especially around assessment periods, as multiple deadlines can fall close together.

Uni of Westminster has amazing student support, with a whole careers team always available to support with any career queries. The professors were very friendly and approachable, and keen to go out their way to help me out. The Marylebone Campus (Westminster Business School) is where I studied, and it had a great library and very sociable lobby, great environment for students, and was very accessible in public transport.

Uni of Westminster place a lot of emphasis on career support, always sending us opportunities for careers fairs, events, conferences and placement opportunities. They have a great internal job system called the Talent Bank, where the university hires students for part-time roles in lots of areas. I was able to secure a job with them as a community researcher, which has been an incredible experience. The Westminster Employability Award was also a great opportunity to learn about and make the most of career resources and support the university provides, whilst also opening up to the opportunity to win awards. The Careers Team is also great, they are available every working day for appointments to do with finding jobs, job applications (CV and cover letter advice), interview practice. They were very easy to reach out to, and helped me with my internship applications, and they are also accessible to me for up to two years after I graduate, which is great. I also now have a graduate mentor, who is supporting my career journey for the next 6 months now that I have graduated. The contact hours were great, and all lectures and seminars were in-person which is great because in-person contact is important in a learning environment. While there were a couple of modules that lacked quality, on the whole the teaching was very good, with some outstanding professors and I have learnt many skills. My dissertation supervisor was fantastic and always offered me feedback and contact hours throughout the journey.
