The staff are very welcoming and there is a lot of support in place to help students' thrive. I like the location on the edge of the South Downs but some may prefer to study in a more central location. The facilities are good, if not particularly beautiful! And there is an active students' union and lots of social activities to get involved with. The research culture is a particular highlight. There is an emphasis on experimental and collaborative research rather than competitive overachieving.

My supervisors are fantastic and there are extra wraparound research activities that I can use to expand my undertsnading of other disciplines and make connections with other researchers.
