Great University, what it lacks in local nightlife it makes up for with the great people you meet during your time. Being a campus uni it's the perfect bubble with everything you could want in one place.
Facilities
How good are your university's facilities?
Awesome library that's modern with lots of computers. Lots of modern lecture theaters and class rooms too.
Student support
How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).
Loads of support available, financial advice, well being advice, studies advice. All really easy to access and really helpful.
Students' union
What do you think of your Students' Union in terms of student representation and facilities?
There are two bars on campus and a club all of which are pretty decent. Lots of different theme nights and cheap drinks deals.
Local life
Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?
Guildford is slightly lacking but does have a few clubs and a large cheap and cheerful weather spoons.
Societies and Sports
How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?
Lots of different societies available, all offer different things and for people worried about drinking most offer non-drinking socials as well as the usual ones
Lecturers and teaching quality
What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?
I can only speak for the sociology department but all the staff are really enthusiastic and supportive making lectures really interesting. I'd recommend the department to anyone looking to study sociology.
Career prospects
How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?
Most courses offer a placement year which will really help when you graduate as you'll have a years experience in an area of your choice.
University halls
What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?
Accommodation is okay, some is a bit out dated but it's all nice and not too pricey when compared to other Unis further into London. I'd recommend being on campus but off campus accommodation isn't too far away either.
