The best experience is the last week for essays. The Uni is bustling with people. The library is full. There are so many people just out and about. I like that collective energy which makes you feel like anything is possible. The worst experience is outdated facilities in some of the buildings. Unlike the Foresterhill campus, the UoA is outdated with its accessibility. The buildings are old and cramped. The walls are too close together with really old bathrooms that belong in a different era. It’s idyllic and calm but only so much can be said when you’re in a hurry and the flushes don’t work. There’s absolutely no non teaching staff you can approach with this. Not sure if this is something I would report to my professors either. Instead of building a really expensive building that reduces paper usage and increases electricity usage (ridiculous with the inflation & now recession), it would be amazing to update these really old lavatories.

The classes are interactive and interesting. The course work is actually pretty simple. There is a lot interesting different assignments to do. It’s okay to approach any professor and get their feedback on your ideas as well. This is great as they really try to build a rapport with you and listen to your thoughts. Some classes are student led which I’m not a fan of. Not a lot of information gets easily passed around. It’s difficult to understand the topics but the interaction with the teachers makes it like everything is a great question because they take time to answer every question.
